WMW is an estate vineyard/winery near Corvallis, in the Bitterroot Valley of western Montana. We produce fine wines, form crush to bottle, sourcing from our vineyard, other local growers, and Washington state grapes.
We produce hand-crafted, individual wines from crush to bottle, sourced from our Corvallis, Montana vineyard, as well as from grapes sourced elsewhere in Montana and the Pacific Northwest. Also, we are actively involved in promoting a wine industry in Montana by offering custom crush services in our winery, and board level involvement in the Montana Grape and Wine Association, and activity with the Montana Department of Agriculture to see Montana become a wine destination.
We are studied, focused and dedicated to the science and nature of grape growing and winemaking, from course study and lengthy experience in the wine regions of France, Italy, Argentina, and the US. (Areas of study: Italy, France, Argentina, Washington, California, Oregon, North Carolina, Virginia, New York, Minnesota, Nebraska).
We have current degrees in Viticulture/Enology, and Wine Business and Economics. We hand-craft ALL of our wines, from vineyard to the bottle. We insist on individual attention to vines and vineyard management including irrigation, canopy management, crop load, to hand harvest. The wines receive focused attention to fermentations and 6. aging, and bench trials to achieve blending perfection.
Goals: To play a part and enhance in the growth, direction, and development of a state-wide vineyard/winery industry in Montana. To promote specialty agriculture and it’s added value as a sustainable economy, and to have Montana recognized for singular wine styles like no other.
Mission: to promote premium wines from Montanan vineyards, and to promote the same for others entering the industry.
